SI/PSI & EPG Generator

Key Features:

Simplicity: PRIME-PSI provides full control over PSI/SI definition and table generation. The user can organize Networks, Transport Streams, Services and Components hierarchically and add all the required descriptors.
Output: The system supports ASI / IP output. The system can generate tables for multiple Transport stream over ASI or IP interface. The output will be a DVB compliant stream which can be connected to a multiplexer.
PID Offset: PRIME-PSI generates PSI/SI tables for multiple Transport Streams and sends them out to multiplexer where they must be re-multiplexed. To save bandwidth, tables for each TS obtain a PID off-set. In the MUXes, the PID’s must be mapped back to the original values as defined by MPEG and DVB. The PID offset values can be defined in the configuration file.
Logical Channel Numbers: The system supports management of Logical Channel Numbers. The LCN can either added in NIT level or in BAT.
Enabling / Disabling Tables: The system supports enabling / disabling tables for each transport stream. The user can also specify the number of days EPG to be generated on output.
Delivery system descriptors: The system is independent of delivery network (cable, terrestrial, satellite, IP). The System supports delivery descriptors like Cable Delivery System Descriptor (DVB-C), Satellite Delivery System Descriptor (DVB-S/S2), Terrestrial delivery system (DVB-T/T2) descriptor and IP Delivery Descriptor.
Repetition Rates: The repetition rates for PSI and SI tables can be configured as per the specifications in ETR290 for DVB, or with the time references to ISO/IEC13818 for MPEG2. The Repetition rate for each tables can be configured individually. The system also provides the option to set the repetition rate to default Repetition Rates.
Extract PSI/SI from Input: Extract SI/PSI information from incoming feed and use it as a start point for your PSI/SI configuration.
Multiple NIT Generation: The system supports generating multiple independent NIT (Ten NIT) from same system. The tables generated for each network can be independent and the tables can be generated on separate multicast address.
EPG in multiple language: The system supports generating EPG data in multiple languages.
Customized Descriptors: The incredible flexibility allows you to define your own descriptors by creating Customized Descriptors. Non DVB features, such as channel numbering, CA information or any other non-standard information can easily be implemented.
DVB Compliant: The system is completely DVB Compliance. All mandatory tables and descriptors according to both DVB-SI (ETSI EN 300 468) and MPEG-PSI (ISO/IEC 13818:2000)

Overview:

Program Specific Information/System Information (PSI/SI) is essential part of DVB signal transmission to enable Set Top Boxes (STBs) at subscribers’ homes to scan the Service / Program Specific information, obtain EPG information such as present and next events, view channel bouquets and run games / applications. PrimePSI generates these information’s in accordance with MPEG and DVB standards. Prime PSI lets the operator fine tune these information based on the requirements to support the basic & advanced multiplexing system. Prime PSI system generates all the mandatory SI/PSI tables, namely PAT, CAT , BAT, PMT, NIT, SDT , EIT actual / other.
